Can't Remove Yahoo as Homepage
I have been reading the support pages for over a week and have tried many fixes that worked for others but doesn't work for me. I have tried the following: Reset FF Removed FF New Install from mozilla.org Removed all add ons But still my home page goes to: http://us.yhs4.search.yahoo.com/yhs/web?preview=1&hspart=adk&hsimp=yhs-adk_sychp I have lost years of bookmarks because of this darn homepage with yahoo. I don't even know how it happened. I have tried many other ways to remove yahoo but can't remember them as the list is long...
Can anyone please give me some easy directions on how to remove yahoo as my homepage?

Many of these I had tried prior to asking for help. But I think what finally did the trick this time was the instruction on how to Delete Firefox on your site. When I had previously removed firefox, I didn’t remove it the way these instructions stated. I had previously removed it from my control panel/programsandfeatures. But as soon as I deleted this folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox & then went to my downloads folder and reinstalled firefox, Alleluia, it worked!!!! Thank You so very much. I hope this is allowed but I had copied the following from your site on the steps I took to fix my homepage. Hopefully, this will also help someone else with the same problem. Have a wonderful evening…
This is everything I did click on & try in this order. My OS is Windows Vista...

2nd Table of Contents
3rd The problem happens in Safe Mode
4th Troubleshoot and diagnose Firefox problems
5th Table of Contents
· 1. Restart your computer · 2. Clear your cookies and cache · 3. Restart Firefox in Safe Mode · 4. Troubleshoot your plugins · 5. Reinstall Firefox
install Firefox Some Firefox issues can be caused by a problem with one of the Firefox program files. Follow these steps to completely remove and reinstall Firefox. Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
1. Download the latest official version of Firefox from mozilla.org.
2. Exit Firefox:
3. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button and then select Exit
4. Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default: o (32-bit Windows) C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox o (64-bit Windows) C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
5. Reinstall Firefox - see Install Firefox on Windows for instructions. Now start Firefox and check to see if your problem has been fixed. If it has, you can reinstall the extensions and themes you verified (in part 3 above) were not causing problems. If your problem hasn't been fixed continue with the next troubleshooting method.
