I tried the suggestions from your page, but nothing seems to work. I have no problem accessing yahoo on IE but I really don't like using IE. Is there a fix for this. Yahoo is set as my homepage and it simply will not load. I feel like if it was a firewall problem, it would not work on IE either...same computer.

You seem to say it is; and it is not; working on IE. Are you using two separate computers and it works on one but not the other ?

Try

  • Clearing cookies for the Yahoo site.
See Clear cookies and site data in Firefox_delete-cookies-for-a-single-site
  • and Reloading using keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F5 (That uses new files not cached ones)
  • Keying in the address directly into the keyboard, or using the link yahoo.com
Instead of a bookmark or a tab that does not work.

Try going to the web site manually, If you make it, create a new shortcut / bookmark. Also, you can Start Firefox in Safe Mode.

You did not read the question carefully. Your reply did not help. I did however remove Firefox and then re-downloaded the "Made for Yahoo" version and it seems to be working fine now.

Thanks for posting back. Glad a Firefox is working again.

You would not find out if the replies helped if you did not try the suggestions.

If you did try you could have confirmed what you tried and what happened.

I still am not clear on the position when you used IE and knowing that may have helped in troubleshooting the problem

You said (my emphasis)

P.S. I presume you looked at Problems with email and how to find help
