how to remove "get goolge faster" from firefox
Every time I start FireFox I get a menu bar to "get google faster. Add google to your start screen. Sure, No Thanks".
Clicking on No Thanks removes the bar but every time Fire Fox starts, I get the same request. Other than stop using Fire Fox, how do I get rid of this message for good.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
You can check if DOM Storage is enabled.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
Thank you for your response. Sorry for the delay. The resolution to the problem was changing my default web page in the options of Firefox. My default was www.google.com. Once I changed that to www.bing.com, the pop-up line stopped appearing.
I tried to add an image but I kept getting an error loading it no matter how small I made it. The pop-up is solid blue bar with the text I mentioned above. It appears just above the YOU SEARCH IMAGES MAPS.... bar. If you make google your default page. Happens with IE as well. Oh well, guess Bing is my default now. Google loses out by being a bit too annoying....
Thanks again for your replies.
