Sites that are redirecting by themselves cannot be controlled. There are many ways but unfortunately sites are redirected for many reasons.. We are unable to provide support on this topic but if you search on google, you will find an answer to your issue. Thanks!

See:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options/Preferences > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"

The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

I have de-selected the "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page" option and will see what happens. I'm concerned that the information pertains to Firefox 3.0 and I am dealing with Firefox 18.

It would be nice to have the blocking of redirection feature have a "trusted sites" override. That way, redirection blocking would occur whenever the redirection is unexpected or unwanted, but would be allowed in expected cases. For example, if a gmail email has a calendar item, and one clicks the "add to calendar" then the blocking would NOT occur if the user has added mail.google.com to the "trusted sites" for blocking redirection. Cheers, David

It is an accessibility feature and not a security feature.
