Firefox is continually trying to access the ip address 91.224.160.212 on several different ports. This address is located in the Netherlands. Why is firefox doing this and how do I get it to stop?

The problem turned out to be an LSO not removed by Better Privacy. MalwareBytes caught it trying to phone home. What surprised me is that this "super cookie" continually tried one port after another incessantly. It was installed by hideipvpn, a virtual private network program that I tried, then uninstalled. As soon as I uninstalled the software, the cookie started screaming. This practice isn't illegal, apparently, but should be!
