I can connect with Internet explorer but no longer through firefox,should I reinstall?

Firefox can no longer connect to server but Internet Explorer does. Should uninstall and reinstall Firefox? If so how? thanks

Did you recently update Firefox?

Are you using a firewall or antivirus software that may be blocking an upgraded version of Firefox?
