Firefox crashing on certain pages: maybe JavaScript related?

Starting yesterday AM, Firefox began crashing on several sites, including Facebook (main page) and Gawker Media (any article).

When I load Firefox in safe mode, it still crashes on these pages. When I disable JavaScript, it does not crash, but of course this prevents a lot of content from functioning. I've never had this problem with Firefox in the past, and I'd really rather make Firefox work rather than switching to another browser.

I've run a malware bytes check (on latest malware bytes version), came up clean. I don't have any new add ons or plug-ins, and I don't think I've installed any new software recently. I'm going to run a disk check next. Any ideas?

Probably try to clear cookies and cache: how to clear the cache, deleting cookies.

See also Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) and please try to retrieve the crash ID.

Okay, cleared cache and cookies. Problem still occurs.

Here's one of my many crash IDs:

The problem is solved, it was a disk problem, a check for bad sectors and everything is working fine again.
