I'm using Firefox 3.5.16 on my MacBook. If I scroll up using two fingers and then press the "control" key (as I often do to switch to a different tab), it activates a zoom feature and I have to reset it to normal. I can't figure out where to disable this in auto:config. Any ideas?

This is NOT the pinch feature. Two fingers being used in a scrolling gesture followed by pressing the "control" key will zoom that webpage in if you were scrolling up and out if you were scrolling down.

If I'm having the same problem you are, you'll notice that it only occurs when either the top or the bottom of the page is visible on screen. I don't know how to fix it, but maybe that'll give someone a clue.

You can set the mousewheel.with*.action pref to 0 to perform a scroll.

  • mousewheel.withcontrolkey.action

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.
