Website suddenly no longer allows me to log in when using Firefox despite working with other browsers
Up until recently I had no problems logging in to The Guardian newspaper site while using Firefox. However suddenly it stopped working- now when I try and log in the site transfers me to my details page, I click finish or home page links and this takes me to the home page, yet I am still not logged in. When I use IE, Safari or Chrome I do not have this problem- I am able to log in normally so I am assuming it must be something to do with Firefox. I have The Guardian site as my home page and this has only recently developed as a problem- I do not have this issue with any other sites I log in to. I contacted the site's support and they could not pinpoint an issue.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
- "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
- "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted. Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Profile Folder in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
