This morning, I still had the icon. I was already running 83.0. Since then, that icon has disappeared. I tried closing and reopening Firefox, but it is still gone. I use that all the time. I don't see any place to restore it. This appears to be an awful bug. The icon used to be next to the Home icon just to the left of the URL bar.

Keazen oplossing

You may have removed this icon accidentally from the Navigation Toolbar.

Open the Customize window and set what toolbars (Show/Hide Toolbars) and toolbar items to display.

  • Right-click empty toolbar area -> Customize
  • "3-bar" menu button -> Customize
  • View -> Toolbars
    *you can tap the Alt key or press the F10 key to show the hidden Menu Bar temporarily
  • if missing items are in the Customize palette then drag them back from the Customize window to the toolbar
  • if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the Customize palette then click the Restore Defaults button in the Customize palette window to restore the default toolbar set.

I don't how it got removed. I had already looked at Customize, but when I looked a second time, it was in the overflow menu which is why I did not see it.

There is a "Pin to Overflow Menu" (and a "Remove from Toolbar") in the right-click context menu, so it is likely that you accidentally has clicked this menu item.
