I don't want to delete any Firefox account, but I do need to log out of mine and log into my mother's. Only I can't figure out how to log out.

Hi JennMBHoward, you can disconnect your Firefox from one Firefox Account and connect it to a different Firefox Account. However, if you have Sync set up, all the data from the two accounts may become mixed together, or yours might be replaced with hers. Assuming that is not what you want, could you describe in a little more detail what information you want to access?

I definitely do not want the data from the two accounts to get mixed up. I'm trying to figure out how to explain my situation concisely. My mother recently got a new email address, and I am trying to access all her bookmarks, and change her email address and her passwords. If there is any way that I can do this remotely, instead of going to her house and working on her computer, it would be much more convenient for me. And my mother, being 83 years old, is an impatient person and wants all of this done as soon as possible.

So, basically, I would like to be able to access her Firefox account to work on that, but I don't want to have to delete my account. And, as stupid as it sounds, I cannot find how to log myself out of my account.

Thanks for your help.

Jenn

Hi Jenn, if your mother is also running Windows 10 or another recent version, you could try Remote Assistance:

If you did want to disconnect your Firefox from your Firefox Account, you could use the steps in the following article: How do I set up Sync on my computer? -- the last section entitled "Remove a device from Sync". If Firefox asks whether you want to keep your data or remove it, DO NOT REMOVE IT!! You only want to disconnect, not clear your Firefox back to factory condition.

You can create a new profile and connect this profile to your mother Sync account.

That is probably safest. You might get a warning anyway if you connect to another Sync account because if you disconnect then the Sync servers remembers you.
