Help! I am using Firefox in Israel but I am American from America. When I make a search on Firefox, it automatically formats everything in Hebrew. That is very annoying. When I turn on VPN, the search page goes back to normal (English). This doesn't happen on Chrome. How can I make it so Firefox search results default as American English even though I'm in Israel?

Hi

Apologies for the delay in responding, I have been having a think about what could be causing this, and I remebered that i have seen something similar myself. When I am outisde of the UK and am looking at the news on the BBC website, I see the non-UK version of the site.

What is happening is that the site is being served locally and you see the local version of content. When you use your VPN it is circumventing the local connection so you are seeing a site that is not in Hebrew.

Are you okay to still use your VPN? There is an alternative I can suggest, but it is not without risks, and is not so easy to implement.
