I want to sync all password from either Safari or Mac Keychain to Firefox, however in the "Import from other browser" window, I can't find passwords. Is it possible to import password directly into Firefox, or is there other ways to complete this task?

It seems like a pretty hard problem though.

You're right - I already asked a few people if they could come to your rescue, as I can't come up with a proper solution, but neither could they ....

I will forward this to someone else, but as we're dealing with different time zones (plus it's weekend) you may have to wait a little longer (so sorry .... )

This has been quite some time on a 'todo' list and there hasn't been much progress. See this bug report. I'm not sure if the keychain is still used in current Mac OS versions.

  • Bug 1018667 - Create a plan for accessing/importing Safari/Chrome passwords (in OS X Keychain)

You would have to be able to export the passwords in Safari or in another browser (Google Chrome) to be able to possibly import them in Firefox.

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.
