In mozilla support community, only question web addresses have numbers in the end right? I doubt if I saw numbers in profile web address & sign out web address

Before clearing away my history, in firefox's show all history, I saw few mozilla support community website items. One was my profile page and the other was the one with #sign-out written in the end which is the web address when I signed out. Later on when I saw a previous screenshot of firefox's show all history from another time, I saw that in it there was a web address of a question of firefox history and it has a 7 digit number in its end. Now I doubt if I also saw in those two history items I mentioned earlier before clearing history (ie, profile and sign out ones), if there was a certain similar 5 or 7 digit numbers near my username or not. I maybe misinterpreting it after seeing the question history of mozilla support community in the screenshot because I looked the previous ones in an instant.. & now, I can't know for sure since I cleared them all.. Only question web addresses has numbers in the end right?? is there anyway for the profile web address and sign out web address to have numbers in their web addresses? I just want to confirm whether this was a misinterpretation of mine or not

Hi

The questions that are asked (and answered) in the Suport Forums have numbers at the end of them.

Other pages within the Mozilla Support Community have the titles of the page or the members name in the website address.

so under no circumstances, the profile web address and sign out web address will have numbers in them.. isn't that correct? because I really think I saw them having, that's why.

I don't think anyone is going to give you an "under no circumstances" answer because, you know, sh*t happens.

If you click Sign Out in your logged in name drop-down list then you will get the current link in the history with #sign-out appended as you can see if you hover this item or use "Copy Link Location" in the right-click context menu. So on every page you get a different #sign-out link. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1232988#sign-out

so it might've happened? will it happen like that? if so, why it could've happened?

I was on my profile page when I signed out & not on the question page.. so the number of the question won't be there right..

Why are you wanting to know? It's entirely possible for a support website to have letters or numbers at the end, but I fail to see what the problem is.

usually, profile web address & sign out web address don't have numbers.. so wanted to know if this was something to be worried about or not

more options

No. It's not. Does the URL start with https://support.mozilla.org/ ?

If it does, there's nothing to worry about.

Actually I cleared all my history, so can't see those history items now.. anyways I went to the support community from the help option in firefox from the three lines on the top right so guess that would only take me to the official site right! so hope its all fine. Considering I really saw numbers in the profile web address and sign out web address, and since they dont usually have numbers, I got worried if my firefox could be hacked or anything.. or there might be some error with it.. I dont know, I'm not much familiar with online threats. There's nothing to be worried like that right?

No, that's not possible. Everything is fine.

thank you for the answer.. & asking out of curiosity, our firefox browser can't be hacked by anyone right? isn't it safe? if not, how to know if it gets hacked?

also if I did really see those numbers, any idea why those numbers might've appeared there? cuz normally they don't.

What do you mean when you say "Firefox can't be hacked"? That sentence makes no sense, so please elaborate.

what I meant was, whether this firefox software can be hacked by someone or not.. like if someone else can control and get details of our firefox .. isn't it safe from such threats or not.. ?

Someone can get access to your computer (usually because updates aren't installed or you install malicious software) but that's not unique to Firefox, if someone gets access to your computer they can access everything installed.

But having numbers in a url or a red square is not "evidence" of that, I'm not sure why you'd think that.
