firefox is making bookmarks of my browser history

For the last 3 months Firefox has been creating duplicate and new bookmarks based on my browsing history and saving them in the bookmarks menu. At first i thought it had something to do with my sync feature so i turned it off and just use a back file between my computer and my laptop which is a pain cause i have to transfer the file every time i bookmark something new. Turns out its the browser not the sync cause as I'm typing this out i just saw it add a new bookmark of this page that I'm typing on. I have done a fresh install cause i just bought my laptop a month ago and that device is doing the same thing. Need help not sure what to try next.

Keazen oplossing

It was apple extension not updating with firefox. So it was recreating them from the icloud program

Firefox would only bookmark a page (link) when you click the star on the location/address bar or use "Bookmark this Page" (Ctrl+D), so you might be accidentally pressing Ctrl+D if you use keyboard shortcuts with a key in the vicinity of the 'D' key.
