Problem after latest update.
Can you just fix version 57.0?It keeps freezing every time i open a new tab since the update and i've noticed i'm not the only one having this problem.

Anything?
Did you read Firefox hangs or is not responding - How to fix ?
Yes.I've tried all of the solutions and nothing fixed it.
So it's only on newtab opening. Go to about:config and set browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.enabled = false and restart the browser. Did problem went away?
Nop.Still freezing and it shows me the yellow line that asks if i want to wait or end the page that's doing it.
Sounds like you have more system problem that is showing up because of FF57 install. I did a uninstall of FF56 and reinstall of FF57 and so don't seem to have the problem your saying.
I noticed that it does it when i open tabs with photos or thumbnails so it has to do with the service that manages this things.

Ever since the update, my Mom's computer just freezes, will not type, etc. My computer was fine. My Laptop was fine. But then I bought a new desktop. I installed Firefox, and it too freezes and hangs up, won't type, etc. I also tried all the suggested remedies, none of them fixed the problems. And the new Firefox was supposed to be much faster? My gawd, the thing is slow...WHEN I can get it to even work.
Any other solutions?
I've seen on Reddit, that Mozilla is investigating similar examples. May be connected with specific cpu/gpu config.
I hope so. My Mom bitched and moaned because she didn't like Microsoft Edge. Finally I found a Mozilla site where I could download the old 56 version. That worked fine once I set it to NEVER update. So I did the same thing to my new desktop. I will never update Firefox until I see that the problems may have been fixed here.
So they're going to release an update to fix it right? But when?
It is sounding like it's not just me and my mom. Like I said, I tried every fix they listed, and nothing worked except downloading the old 56 version and setting it to never update. I do not find this to be a good solution. And it can always somehow evolve to that version will no longer work, which means Firefox would just have to go. I prefer to get the problem fixed.
