Until recently my Thunderbird password came up first when I clicked on the icon to open it. Now for some reason Thunderbird opens immediately, and goes straight to the inbox. The box to enter the password comes up shortly afterwards, but the password is not required to see the inbox. This is not a computer used by others, but I like to maintain the privacy of my inbox. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird, removed and recreated the password, rebooted etc. but the problem persists. Any suggestions please.

The master password is not supposed to protect the contents of the profile. It only protects your saved account passwords.
