Certificates say they are not secure since download of latest version
When I open Firefox, first I get the 'green lock,' then a gray triangle over it, then the triangle turns yellow. I have to hit my home button several time to get the green lock to stay on (I use Yahoo as my home page). However, if I go to sports or finance or anywhere else, the yellow triangle comes back. All since I loaded the latest version of Firefox. Any suggestions?

Hi !
It's not really something for you to worry about.
See the article 'Mixed content blocking in Firefox' http://mzl.la/1klqkmQ
Thanks, I appreciate your reply. I had already read that article but since this only happened with my last upgrade, I wanted to find a fix for it instead of letting it go.
You could try this:
Type in the address bar about:config
(promise to be careful)
Search: mixed
Under the Preference Name heading find:
Security.mixed_content.block_active_content
Set it's value to 'false'
Bewurke troch Happy112 op
Sorry to take so long to thank you. I really do appreciate your helping me. I have a somewhat dumb question. If I do the above, will I be disabling the warning? Is this OK? Thanks again for your support.
There are no dumb questions; only dumb answers ........
After you've set the value to 'false' you shouldn't get these warning signals for pages with mixed content anymore.
If you still get these warning signals: then at least my first line was
correct ........
Hello Again,
I did as you laid out and I was careful. Things have changed in that I now get a grey lock with a red line through it (that's new). Wondering if there was some flaw in my last Firefox upgrade as I never saw any of these triangles or lines before doing that upgrade (using Firefox for over 10 years). Thanks again for all the help.
Hi again,
You know: just go back to about:config (and promise to be careful again); search for mixed, and under the Preference Named :
Security.mixed_content.block_active_content_
set it's value back to true
That is how I have set mine, and I get this yellow warning signal all the time on pages that show images of some kind.
As long as those images don't reveal sensitive information: I couldn't care less.
If, however, this really bothers you; you could consider an add-on:
