Hi, I have about 100 entries in one (standard Firefox) bookmark file (Library) with URLs of individual safelists.

When I login to a safelist I would send out credit mails to all subscribers on that list, then I log out.

If I again on the same day look at the same bookmark file (Library) it used to show the time of when it was last modified.

When I do the same the following day, it will also show the date of last modified (the previous day's date).

This recording of last date and time modified is no longer being updated.

How can I get the last modified date time to be updated again?

If you use a bookmark, it is not changed. It's only updated if you change something. Or are you talking about live bookmarks?

Make sure you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; Never Remember History).

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.

Thank you, got access to Tools.

But on the privacy page there is no "Use custom settings for history" and no "Always use Private Browsing mode"

The only options available: Tracking History Location Bar

You will see "Use custom settings for history" as one of the choices. You see remember history when all history and cookie settings are default. To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
