After I installed version 45, as soon as I tried to look at a message (I selected a message) it said "Loading..." and it never loaded. So, I installed version 43.0b1 and the problem went away, however, in a few hours I saw a message that said something like "You need to install this important security update" and after I installed it the problem repeated itself. So, again, I installed version 43.0b1 again. Now when it asks me to install an important security update I refuse. I saw someone who said that starting in safe mode fixed his problem. It didn't fix mine. I believe you have a thousand other users with this same problem. I just need to know when it is fixed so I can install the important security update.

uninstall and reinstall the lightning add-on. Problem solved.

Actually, it turned out to be the Thunderbird Conversations add-on. But uninstalling it and re-installing it didn't help. Right now I just disabled it to get rid of the problem. Is there any chance that there will be a compatible version of this add-on at some point?
