I have two computers firefox on one and I want to install on the other but my computer keeps kicking me off even if I try to set defaults to mozilla.
My computer boots me off and states that it has recovered from a critical error and keeps re booting. I set program access and default to mozilla and it boots me off. It boots me off when I try to re download, when I click on mozilla shortcut it kicks me off .I have all my setting set the same as the computer that works but it will only work with internet explorer.

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.
Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.
• Linux: If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Install Firefox on Linux. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder Firefox in your home directory.
Look for, and rename any Mozilla or Firefox folders by adding .old to them.
After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner. Then run the installer. If all goes well, remove the OLD folders when you are done.

Does the other system also run XP?
Can you start Firefox in its Safe Mode? To do that, hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).
If that doesn't work, either, maybe it's a malware infection?
