cant play mp4 in external player, yet still stream stuff in 35.0

more options

Running 35.0 on windows 7 pro.

I want to be able to play mp4 in external player, and still be able to stream. I could do it before the 35.0 update when I set media.windows-media-foundation.enabled to false. Now it seem I have to set both that and media.play-stand-alone to false, and then mp4 will open in media player classic (as I want them to). But streaming from tumblr.com won't work. It just sits there.

Here is the test: 1. http://download.wavetlan.com/SVV/Media/HTTP/H264/Talkinghead_Media/H264_test1_Talkinghead_mp4_480x360.mp4 Should download and then play in an external player

2. http://crossfirezine.tumblr.com/post/108731776691/henry-fox-has-a-dope-new-edit-up-for should stream, not just sit there. (it streams if both the above configs are true)

Setting the application for mp4 to Media Player Classic seems to have no effect on the first test unless I make the about:config changes, which then breaks test 2.

This all worked before the 35.0 update, at which time firefox crashed and I lost ALL my config settings. Not sure why that occurred. Now I can't get it to work again.

Thanks,

EC

Thanks for the help.

I can't believe that fixed it. I tried every combination. I guess I didn't restart firefox or something when I tried it.

Sorry for wasting your time. Hate when I miss something so easy.
