Allow firefox to store cookies and make sure your antivirus does not delete them. If problem still there re set or reinstall your browser

Details like websites remembering you (log you in automatically) are stored in a cookie.

  • Create a cookie 'allow' exception to keep such cookies, especially in case of secure websites and when cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
  • Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions

In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history:

  • do not clear the Cookies
  • do not clear the Site Preferences

Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.

Clearing cookies will remove all specified (selected) cookies including cookies with an allow exception that you would like to keep.

The need to sign in multiple times per day is ongoing as of this date. This is a Verizon problem said to be a result of new privacy controls they instituted. No information as to when this will be fixed.

Now I cannot log in to Verizon from Firefox at all. The log in box on their pages does not load. Verizon says Firefox is not loading their entire page and leaving out the sign in box. They suggest I use Safari or Chrome instead of Firefox. This is since v36 update if that makes a difference.

Solved the problem of initial log on. Now hoping that Verizon will solve the problem of not staying signed in.

Verizon Fios has removed the box where you click to stay signed in as of today! Guess that answers all the questions. It just doesn't work so get rid of it!
