Why are there constant windows opening stating that there is a "potential risk" on my computer? Happens every 5-10 mins, and McKafee says my system is clean

I get constant pop up windows to sites that I didn't try to get to. Sometimes they pop up when I click on a field (one popped up when I went to input my user name for Mozilla). Many sites now with audio warnings stating that "your computer may be at risk, follow this page to repair your computer". This happens often, and McKafee doesn't show any threats when I run a virus scan.

Sounds like you picked up some Malware.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
