How do i enable flash in Firefox?
Nexus 7 2012 with kk4.4.
I have installed flash 11.1.115.81 as indicated.
I have tried installing and reinstalling 2x, each of these: Firefox 30, beta, and Aurora. I've selected desktop site and plug in enable for each. NONE WORK. only this Dolphin browser works and it works on the first try. But i don't want to use that browser!
Can someone please advise how to make this work, and furthermore explain why it isn't easier? No more Lego blocks!
TIA

Hi, Google stopped supporting the adobe, so install it manually
I have installed it manually. It does not work with your browser. It works with others, but that is not what i asked.
Your cited links do not explain how to successfully enable it in Firefox 30. They either fail, or suggest using the stock android browser. This is not a solution, it is an alternative.
Is Mozilla's response simply that flash can not work in Firefox on android kitkat4.4, and i must use another browser?
Please reply rather than citing obsolete info. Thank you
The latest version of Android (4.4 "Kit Kat") had some changes that broke the Flash plugin in all browsers. The latest Firefox Nightly development/test build has a fix for that problem. If you're using Android 4.4, you can test the fix now by running the latest nightly build.
Just finished installing the Firefox nightly. Opened the installed flash player 11.1 settings shortcut, it fails to display flash. Error says nightly can not play flash on this device.
So no it doesn't work. Did you try it before suggesting it to me?
moses, as of mobile Firefox 27.0 and newer one has been able to use the Flash plugin on Android 4.4. Bug 935676 - Flash doesn't work on 4.4 KitKat https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/27.0/releasenotes/
Your comment was taken from back in January when Firefox was at version 26.0 and the fix was put in 27.0.
4junk3000 as your Nexus 7 is the older 2012 and not 2013 (which has camera on back), it has a Nvidia Tegra 3 so the Flash Plugin is disabled.

James,
Thank you for replying here, and linking your troubleshooting thread from January.
It is clear now that the problem is specific to my exact device. What coincidence.
Question: is there plan to overcome this issue for this device, or is black list the final resolution? Can the successful function of flash 11.1 in the competitor's browser on this same device lead to a solution to be implemented in a future Firefox?
Thanks again for your input here.
