WIN8.1 eat half my Tbird program and I need help!!!!!

When I installed Win 8.1 it eat about 75% of my Programs and files. It eat most of my old T-Bird , but let the DEFAULT file in the Old Win File. How do I get the New T-Bird to read the contents of that file?
