How do I get my pages to fit my screen without having to constantly use the Zoom button or Cont + or Contr- ?

Whenever I use Mozilla on my laptop (HP Compaq 6715b) my pages are too large for my screen. Whenever I am on a site and use one of the above features to adjust it to fit and then switch to another page on the same site the new page selected also needs adjusting.
