how do I get back my old home page on firefox?
I carefully created a home page on Firefox, and it has disappeared with a blank opening page now. I would like my old home page back. How do I do this?

I think you probably had set up an iGoogle page. Google plans to discontinue iGoogle this fall, but try this URL and see whether it still works:

Go to Firefox or Tools > Options > General > Homepage and set it to what you want it to be or to what you had it.
It only gives me the options of "show windows and tabs from last time", "show blank homepage" or "show home page". None of these give me back my original home page with all the things I had on it

- In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
- Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.
- Type in browser.startup.homepage at the top of the page.
- Double click the first result, a new window should show.
- Type what you want your home page to be Example: google.com

I just want my old home page that I carefully constructed with it's layout. Isn't there a way to restore it?
Do you mean a addon or from a file?
It seems I've lost my Internet explorer home page too. That's been taken over by Mozilla. I don't know what's going on!
Can you give me a screenshot of Internet Explorer's home page too. I'm sure Mozilla didn't hijack youur home page on all browsers.
I mean how it looked. I had different news, weather, local movies, quotes, dictionary, etc; Things I had constructed on there over time. Up until earlier this week it was fine. I stupidly downloaded something that messed it all up. I've since uninstalled that thing, along with other things that came with it, out of my programs. But I don't have my old home page anymore either on Firefox or Internet explorer. Just blank default homepages.
Do you know what your homepage was?
Here's the screenshot of internet explorer now
Not sure what you mean. My homepage was on the opening page when I clicked on Mozilla Firefox
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Okay, I'm running those anti-malware programs now. When they are completed how do I get back my old home page?
What was the web address of the old home page, i need that to recover your homepage, cant read minds.
It might have had a Google search bar on it, if that's what you mean.
You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.
Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).
Current Firefox versions use the default search engine (pref: browser.search.defaultenginename) to set the search engine that is used on the about:home page.
Check the browser.search.defaultenginename pref on the about:config page and make sure that it is set to the default value Google.
- browser.search.defaultenginename
Currently selected search engine:
- browser.search.selectedEngine
Are you talking about news.google.com ?
I finished running the Malware programs. To answer your question, it had a big Google search bar on my previous home page. I don't want to get some generic home page with your steps. I want to get back my EXACT home page, as I had it before. Is there history or restore, or something like that?
