Do you see them in print preview?

Maybe there is a problem with the (default) font that Firefox uses.

You can try a different default font temporarily to see if that helps.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced
  • [ ] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

The problem may be related to Firefox MathML renderer, whereby the + and = symbols (among others) are shown as blank placeholders when printing.

If this is the case, there is a workaround: context-click on any one MathML formula, and from MathML settings switch to "SVG". The page will redraw (the symbols will appear slightly different) and it will now print correctly.

Tested on Windows XP SP3, Firefox release 17.0.1
