I have an hp laptop (Vista) with a fingerprint reader. From other websites, I found out that the Verisoft fingerprint reader's "single sign on" caused the slow space bar problem on my computer. You can change the Verisoft settings to disable the single sign on feature. This will still allow you to log onto windows using the fingerprint reader. To change the settings, double click the Verisoft icon in the taskbar located near the windows clock. Select “settings and options.” Select “single sign on.” Under “general,” uncheck the “enable single sign on functionality”. Click apply.
