How do i remove an add-on??

i no longer want my weather add-on, whenever i set the settings for my area, it always goes back to default settings. im done with it and i no longer want it on here. when i go to my control panel on my computer and go to the add/remove programs the weather add on is not on here but shows up on my browser. please help
