Firefox takes a long time to load a website and sometimes won't open at all

Firefox is running really slow and takes ages to load a website if it loads at all, i'm having the same problem with other browsers but Skype and Windows Messenger are working fine. I've reset my wireless a number of times but this doesn't solve the problem. It was fine earlier today but since this evening every time i attempt to open a website it won't work.

Firefox is running really slow and takes ages to load a website if it loads at all, i'm having the same problem with other browsers but Skype and Windows Messenger are working fine. Can you check your Windows Firewall settings? It's possible that it's routing Firefox requests differently. At least one other Firefox user has reported that his Windows Firewall was set to block Firefox 3.6.
