When you click on the “Bookmarks” tab and attempt to hover the curser over the desired link or folder, there is a substantial delay before this desired link highlights. In addition, the favicon associated with any links within the Bookmarks tab does not populate either during this lengthy delay. To sum up, there is substantial delay in being able to access one’s bookmarked links or folders with this latest version of 92.0. I would ask the Mozilla team to fix this matter as soon as possible. It’s very annoying. I am using the 64-bit version of 92.0 with Windows 7.

If you have sync, and there is a problem anywhere, Shut Down Sync Immediately On All Devices to prevent the problem from spreading. Once the problem is fixed, perform the same repair on all computers/profiles before using sync again.

[v57+] Places Maintenance is built into Firefox.

Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.

You will find Places Database near the bottom. Press the Verify Integrity button.

If any errors are reported: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-bookmarks-and-history-will-not-be-functional

The places.sqlite file contains your History and Bookmarks. And it looks like it is corrupted.

Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Locate the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox. The browser should then create a new place.sqlite and recover your bookmarks from the backup files.

Note: Your history is not backed up and will be lost.

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, there is no way that I would attempt to perform any of the actions you suggested, because like the other issue that you responded to, it is going to be the same response, which is that I am 100% certain that the issue correlates to an architecture change, whatever that would have been, pertinent to this latest release of 92.0 (64-bit) Firefox, period. The difference between the previous issue also submitted today and this one, is that I made a point to report this one the next morning after I updated Firefox. I don’t use Sync, by the way.

I am very old school, my Internet is wired. I don’t do wifi. I run a clean computer and junk files are removed daily. I run the only OS that ever worked properly in WIN 7 and it NEVER crashes. I have all its telemetry turned off. Translation, I don’t have issues with my machine, period. It serves me quite well.

That said, when my bookmarks menu was always running like a Maserati until I updated to 92.0, for which it is now lazier than a sick turtle, ever since I updated to 92.0, when I have not touched any settings whatsoever, I don’t think, I KNOW that the issue pertains to version 92.0! Whatever one of the technicians did in 92.0 to affect the browser menu turning into a sick turtle, should kindly reverse that action with a new update as soon as possible.

I understand that you are trying to help, but like I stated in my other reply to you, I only submit legitimate issues. Someone buggered something that greatly affects the speed of the bookmarks menu, and that is 100% for certain. You are not dealing with an amateur, here. It says that you are a top ten contributor. If that’s true, see if you can get Mozilla to address both of the legitimate issues that I reported today.
