Email no go since Tbird update to 78.3.2

Since updating T-Bird to 78.3.2 (3 days ago we cannot send or receive mail. When TBird starts (or when we look for mail) we get an error message "Sending of password for user xxx@xxxx did not succeed. Mail server inbound.att.net responded: Server error - Please try again later. " We have 2 other computers (same Win 7 op sys) with TBird 68.12.1 that have avoided the update and they work fine.

How can I make it work?

Since updating T-Bird to 78.3.2 (3 days ago we cannot send or receive mail.
