Custom Value Addition on Search Page
Hello Experts,
I have the following requirement in mind and I am not sure if there is currently a Firefox extension that can do what I have in mind. I am going to elaborate my problem with an example.
Let's suppose I did a google search as following "list.accumulate" and google search returns 100 results. I visit search result pages from 1 to 5 and feel that I need to revisit page 4 and 5 if I do the same search at a later time and do not need to revisit page 1, 2 and 3.
Is there a way for me to specify a value as "please visit on next search"/ "do not visit on next search" per page that I visit and that value would show up on my next search on the search page itself.
I tried to create an image of my desired output with an image as attached.
Thank you in advance.

Hello smpa01,
I found this add-on that hopefully will do what you want (fingers crossed) :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/g-search-filter/
Any good ?
@McCoy thanks for the reply. Unfortunately it does not do what I had in my mind.
The extensions lets some of the web results stand out (highlighted) in the Google search page based on the values specified by the user. However, that is not what I need.
I want an extension (if exists) which lets me specify some custom values on the google search page against each search results that would tell me the course of action to follow should I run the same search at a later time. I tried to elaborate that through the screenshot.
Imagine going through a book which has geometry problems. You read problem#1 and solve it. You put a check mark on that problem and move on to the next one. Problem#2 is tough which you want to revisit at a later time. You donn't put a check mark on that that would tell you later that this remains unsolved. So you want to move on to next one (#3). You solve that, put a check mark and move on to next one and so on.
When you open the same book and the same page at a later time, the check marks on the page tells you which are the problems that have already been solved and the one which you need to try again.
I am looking for a facility that replicates the same for a google search. Please let me know if I am still unable to paint the picture.

Hmm, interesting.
There are extensions that show what other people think about a link (such as WOT's good/bad reputation), and to disable links to bad sites of your choice (such as BlockSite, although that's not its main purpose). But I am not aware of an extension that conveniently stores your own opinion about a link in a search result and shows it next to the link when you encounter it again.
Setting aside the privacy implications of storing all that history, and possible performance hit when searching, it sounds like it could be very useful.

That extension looks like a good starting point, but a bit lacking in the convenience department if you have to enter the URLs by hand.
P.S. I am familiar with the hazards of trying to manipulate the Google results page from having to regularly update my script, Google Hit Hider. Someday in my free time (!) I hope to convert it to an extension if no one else gets to it first.

The picture you painted is crystal clear, really !
I just don't think it's "doable" - what jscher2000 is working on, might come close, though.
Maybe you could submit your idea as a suggestion to Google (?)
