Is there ANY reason the Bookmark Toolbar keeps displaying the WRONG icon for a site? How do you fix it?

Deleted, upgraded, flushed out cookies, Even copied a different bookmark with the correct icon from that site and tried to change it to the main site icon... as soon as I did, it switches to the wrong one. The site icon in question is FaceBook, it's using the NY Time icon,

Solution choisie

Try to rename/remove favicons.sqlite in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.

Note that this will remove all favicon and you need to visit a bookmarkto make Firefox retrieve the favicon.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

Hi, are you deleting the folders also after uninstalling Firefox ? Are you getting a new full version installer from here : https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/  ? Import bookmarks after.
