Firefox crashes
Good morning,
Firefox on my work computer is constantly crashing. It's the updated version, and the same version I'm using on other computers that work fine. I've tried using safe mode, updating add-ons, and many other remedies, and none of them work. And when it does crash, I don't get a "crash report" either. I've attached a picture to show how often Firefox is crashing on me.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Anthony

Hello! Can you copy and paste "about:crashes" into your URL page. And then copy and paste all the crash report ID's please. This will definitely help! :)
Good morning!
Well that doesn't show any of the recent crashes for some reason. Firefox has been crashing on me every time I open it for about 2-3 weeks now. But here is what you requested anyway. Thanks, Anthony

It seems like a .dll issue Please refer to this solution: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/977422 On your cooperation only.
I followed those steps, and the crashes are still occurring.
Thanks, Anthony

Some of your crash reports weren’t sent to the Mozilla Servers.
In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

The last report is from January and would not help now.
Update your Eset program. If there is still a problem, disable it.

Good afternoon,
I have Eset updated, but I don't know that Eset is the problem. That one crash you analyzed was from much earlier in the month before the constant crashes were occurring. But I don't know why none of the recent crashes will show up when I type in "about:crashes" thought. You'll see in the attached JPEG how many crashes are occurring, it's nearly every time I open Firefox.
Thanks, Anthony
That only says there were crashes but gives no information.
Did you update Firefox to 55.0.3 ?
Note: v55 has been giving users problems. Reinstall v54.

If you still want to downgrade, look under; I still want to downgrade. Click the Directory of other versions and languages link. Look for the directory of the version that you want. But, remember that old versions may have security issues.

Good morning,
I was finally able to get a recent crash report number. Could you check on this and let me know what this might mean?

Update ESET. If the problem continues, disable it.
Lately, Firefox has been having problems with graphics drivers.
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Options/Preferences -> General: Performance
remove checkmark: [ ] "Use recommended performance settings"
"Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.
