Do I need a separate log-in identity to review an add-on?

more options

I wanted to leave a review for an add-on I've been using, but was asked to log in before doing so. But my Mozilla log-in, which uses a name for the ID, not an e-mail address, didn't work. Do I have to create a new account just to review an add-on? If so, that seems like a lot of trouble when I'd still be in the Mozilla universe. Thank you.

Yes, you need to create an account on the Add-ons website if that is what your question is about. All Mozilla website use a different login database, so the Add-ons website doesn't recognize a login created for this forum website.

Thanks for clarifying that. But now I'm still wondering why Mozilla needs people to register multiple log-ins when they're all related to the same family of products.

Mozilla is in the process of changing all the various separate login 'systems' over to using the user's "Firefox Account".
