Note that current Firefox versions have a built-in feature to take a screenshot as part of the Web Developer Toolbar.
- Web Developer > Developer Toolbar
You can use this if you only need a screenshot occasionally because you need to use a command line and can't click a button or use the context menu.
A quick way to save a screenshot is to press the "s", then the F1 key will bring up a help pop-up where you can click the "screenshot" entry' or use cursor Up/Down and press the Enter key.
The default file name is "Screen Shot yyyy-mm-dd at HH.MM.SS.png" in the download directory.

You will have to type options yourself because clicking an entry in the pop-up that appears after the first "-" doesn't work (to see available options, use: screenshot --).

hello, according to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/pixlr-grabber/ the developers have retracted their addon.
I know it was there last week, so it must have just gotten retracted! Do you know of any other add on that will do the same thing?

I downloaded "Abduction" but can't get it to my toolbar. I can find it in Add-on Manager, but all it gives there is information about it...
I'm not familiar of how Abduction works.
Did you look in the toolbar palette?
You can also look at Easy Screen Shot: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/easyscreenshot/

rubenlopez created a new thread, so please continue there.
Download Pixlr Grabber 2.1.1 Firefox 29.0 - Windows 7
IT WORKS - No problem. I just added it to my browser after downloading from cNet > right clicked on browser area > customize > dragged and dropped on the menu bar.
After transferring files to new computer the add-on was not there - still in good working order on 'old computer' with same OS and Firefox version - but I could not get the add-on to sync. I was 'sweating it', desperately seeking Pixlr Grabber and finding only dead ends.
I did some creative searching and was thrilled to find the download. I wanted to share this with everyone right away! Enjoy.
If you still have the extension on the other computer then you can look for it in the extensions folder in the Firefox profile folder and copy the .xpi file or folder if the file is unpacked and copy this file/folder to the profile folder of your current computer.
