Firefox's "Tools/Options/" always had the option to backup and restore my saved passwords from an xml file, however I can no longer find this option and every question on this site about saved passwords refers to a "db" file instead of the "xml". What about the "export-passwords-date-.xml" files? How can I restore the same saved passwords I've been restoring for years. Any feedback or guidance is greatly appreciated.

Make use of Firefox Addons

For Advance - backup your profile - Mozilla Firefox stores all your personal settings, such as bookmarks, passwords and extensions, in a profile folder on your computer

This topic is rather hard to find in the support forum. I already exported the passwords from my old computer (presumably I had the exporter addon installed there), but I was baffled in finding a way to import the passwords.
