I am sick of re-engineering random crap every time I upgrade... How do I get the "reload"/"refresh" button and the "stop" button back in FF 4.0? I am running SuSE 11.4 32 bit. I ain't no newbie but I am sick of doing a damned kabuki dance every new release just to get back where I was before the "new and improved..." Sorry for the flame but this is getting old.

Firefox 4 uses a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is positioned at the right end of the location bar.
During the page load process it shows as a Stop button and after the loading has finished the button is changed to a Reload button.
If you type in the location bar then that button becomes a Go button.
You can middle-click that Reload button to duplicate the current tab to a new tab.

If you want to move the Stop and Reload buttons to their position to the left of the location bar you can use these steps:

  • Open the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window to move the Stop and Reload button out of the location bar.
  • Drag the Reload and Stop buttons to their previous position to the left of the location bar.
  • Set the order to "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
  • Set the order to "Stop - Reload" or separate them otherwise to get two distinct buttons.

Press F10 to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the menu bar is hidden.

Thank you, Mr Voice From Nowhere... I am sure I missed this when I read the release notes (...LOL) but all is right with the world now that my Reload button is home, safe and sound...

If they don't revert, i'm going to Safari. I had to stop all my other machines I have from updating. It was crap the moment it installed yesterday!!!!!!!!!

Do appropriate research before infecting us with crappy software. If I find out it was an intentional release just to test reaction, then I'm outahere.
