Wow! Big difference there! It probably has something to do with the way the JPEG was encoded and Firefox isn't handling it well. I suggest you file a bug at Bugzilla, because Firefox 4.0beta3pre has the same issue:

Don't forget to upload the affected picture. In the mean time, I suggest you encode the JPEG in a different way. I have never seen such an issue, so doing it differently should make it go away.

If you don't want to file the bug yourself, please tell me and I'll do it, although it would be best to have you do it, since you know how you encoded the JPEG and so on...
