Hi,

I'm using Firefox browser on my Macbook Air. I was previously able to do the following functions, but have had problems with it for the past few Firefox updates.

1) When I open Gmail in Firefox browser, the paperclip 'attach' button will not open any windows to select a file to attach. I can only drag files into the email to attach them by opening Finder and locating the file. The attachment feature works in other browsers.

2) When I open a PDF file in Firefox browser, it will no longer allow me to download them. I can do this in Chrome and Safari on my Macbook.

I really like using Firefox and don't want to use the other browsers. Can you help with why these problems have started occuring? Thanks.

Hi, I'm using the same version of Firefox on the same operating system, but I'm not experiencing those issues. If you start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode, does the problem still occur? To start in Troubleshoot Mode, go to Help > Troubleshoot Mode.

If the problem does not occur in Troubleshoot Mode, then you can disable your extensions one-by-one until you find out which one is causing the problem. For more info, visit Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems.

Hi,

Thanks for that tip, just restoring using the troubleshooting mode seemed to allow all of the things to come back. I'm not sure what I did to the settings previously to prevent it but all good now.
