Does Thunderbird have a program compatible with windows 10
I have used Thunderbird for years with no problems. I upgraded to Windows 10 and now cannot access Thunderbird. I contacted Microsoft and they have advised me to contact you for advice. They suggest that my Thunderbird is not compatible with W10. I uninstalled Thunderbird and re-installed it - so assume that I have installed the latest version. Still no success. Can you help, please???

Many others are using Thunderbird just fine with Windows 10. You don't need any special version.
What exactly does "cannot access Thunderbird" mean?
What do you do? What happens? What did you expect to happen instead?
Hi I double click on the icon on my desk top to enter MT. Then a message appears on the screen with a red X
"Windows cannot find c:\Program Files(x86)Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe. Make sure you type the came correctly and then try again".
Previously when I double clicked my emails etc were all available to me on the screen.
Have you installed Thunderbird since updating? It is either not installed, or somewhere other than where your shortcut points to.
(Re-) Installing it will most likely fix things.
On advice of Microsoft, I uninstalled and then re-installed but no success. I have tried starting TB from sources other than desktop.
Go to the start menu and in search type %PROGRAMFILES(x86)% and press enter. now navigate to the Mozilla Thunderbird folder. open it. Locate Thunderbird.exe and double click on it. What happens?
If your desktop icon does not open Thunderbird, delete that icon. Search for the Thunderbird executable "thunderbird.exe" (without the quotes).
On a Windows 10 machine, the search window is on the left side of the taskbar just to the right of the windows logo button. Enter the filename above. If no match is found, then Thunderbird is NOT installed. Download a new copy and install. If it finds a match, right-click the entry and select "Open File Location". The file should be high-lighted somewhere on the next page. Now right-click the file and select "Create Shortcut". A warning box will open "Windows cannot create a shortcut here. Do you want the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead?" Select "Yes". This new desktop shortcut should now work.
