Clicking on links opens my Home Page, not the link address
Hi, Over the past few weeks, when I click on a link to another web page from within a website, the link seems to start to open but (maybe one time in three) the page that opens is my home page, not the page that the link referred to. If I try again, the same may happen or maybe the correct page will open; sometimes it takes three or more tries before the requested web page opens up.
Seems to happen with any URL link, I can't see any trend. Anyone have the same issue? Any suggestions? My home page is BBC News by the way...
Win7 x64; Firefox v.31
Thanks!

Hi, thanks, but the prime suspect (though I installed it ages ago and haven't had any problems until recently) was always going to be NewTabURL 2.2.3. With that disabled, I can't reproduce the problem at all, so... Thanks again. Should have tried this before I posted!! :-)

I think this may be an addon/extension issue. If I run FF in Safe Mode, I don't get the problem. Will post back if I find the culprit!
Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac:<Command>)<Shift> A)
In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Disable a few add-ons, then Restart Firefox.
Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause Firefox issues. Disable All of them.
If the problem continues, disable some more (restarting FF). Continue until the problem is gone. After, you know what group is causing the issue. Re-enable the last group ONE AT A TIME (restarting FF) until the problem returns.
Once you think you found the problem, disable that and re-enable all the others, then restart again. Let us know who the suspect is detective
