Adobe Flash Player Plugin - app error notice loops
I am getting the following error message: FlashPlayerPlugin_11_4_402_265.exe - Application Error The instructino at 0x71a30000 referenced memory at 0x71a30000. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program.
For some webpages, clicking ok will cause the error msg to disappear. For most, such as Amazon pages, the error msg will loop, i.e. I click on OK, then the box pops up again.
This started immediately w/ the latest release, Firefox 15.0.1. I uninstalled and re-installed the plug-in, to no avail. I'm running Win 8, Would it be better to roll-back the Firefox version or the Adobe Flash version? Seems like I should roll back Firefox, b/c the Adobe was running fine until the Firefox update. However, the std. Firefox advice is not to roll back. I need to change something, or switch to Chrome or Opera.

Same error with firefox 16.0.1 and flash 11.4.402.287 after windows 7 to windows 8 migration. Uninstall/reinstall firefox and flash didn't solve the problem.

Have you tried checking your RAM to make sure that it is all right? Maybe one of the memory chips is failing.

You can check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these:
- disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
- disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
- disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
No RealPlayer installed. Disable protected or hardware acceleration mode change nothing.
Only workaround : uninstall flashplayer 11 and install old 10.3.
I have the same problem. My answer, was to disable the Flash plugin in Firefox, then install the FireIE plugin. This allows me to switch the rendering engine to IE compatibility on these problem pages, which allows the flash without the memory error.
Modified
Hello Guys. My problem was that exact same loop crash with the Flash Player Plugin using Firefox 16 in Windows 8. This problem appeared right after the migration from Windows 7 to Windows 8. However the flash player worked fine under Internet Explorer. After reading another thread on a comparable issue, I did uninstall Trusteer (security software that is proposed by some banks to prevent fraud). Reboot, relaunch Firefox, re-enable the Flash Player Plugin and the problem is gone. Hope this can help some of you. Cheers Olivier.
Ah, i have Trusteer installed also, so it looks like there is enough info for it to soon be sorted.
Yes !!! it seems to be the good way ! I've trusteer installed ...
I struggled with this problem and the culprit ended up being Rapport software which my bank has had me install. Once removed the browser worked perfectly.
There is now a new version of Trusteer, that claims compatibility with Firefox and Windows 8. http://www.trusteer.com/support/
