Firefox doesn't have a restriction for how long to keep the history, but has a maximum for the number of visits you can keep (usually at least one hundred thousand), so one week shouldn't be a problem. If you lose history then it is likely that the history somehow gets deleted, either by you or someone else that uses the computer or by external cleanup software. If you use external cleanup software like CCleaner then check the settings for Firefox.
