When printing, my tabs disappear and all I can do is close out the print preview with all open tabs.

When ever print preview comes up, all the tabs that are open disappear. The only option to get out of print preview is to use the X in the top right corner. However, then it says that all tabs will be closed. There is no way to get back to the open tabs without closing them all.

I have uninstalled firefox, removed all left over files and folders, and re-installed but the problem persists.

My boss is almost 90 and needs the higher resolution. IS there any way around this issue? Thanks!

A larger monitor might be the answer.

In Print Preview there should be a Close button on the "Preview" toolbar.

Please provide a screenshot of your Print Preview window.

See this support article. How do I create a screenshot of my problem? It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.

Then use the Browse .... button below the Post a Reply text box to upload the screenshot.

the-edmeister:

Here is a screen shot after I hit the X in the top right corner to close the print preview. If I had 5 tab opens before print preview, it will warn that it is going to close 6 tabs, but shows no tabs at top. If I close, then everything closes out with it. I have to drag new tab to another monitor, then copy the URL that I want to print from, so that when I close the print preview then I do not lose the multiple open tabs in the other window.

the-edmeister: Also, since I can not reply to the email that notifies me of the message you send, how do I get back to this Forum question? There is no link in the email that I can see to return to this Forum question but I got lucky in that I happened to still have the window open from last week. Otherwise, I would not have been able to reply as this would have been lost forever. Please advise on this also.

The browser window is too narrow in that screenshot to see the Close button, which is the right of Simplify Page.

What the hell is gong on here, Mozilla? This is no solution to the problem. You are no better than Chrome. They "hide" too. Cannot contact them and when email, NO REPLY.

Contact me about this problem at rainey [email protected] or 408-395-9273.

@EdMeister - I attached a screen shot but do not see it in this post. It may just be me though. Were you able to see the screen shot you requested?

@ EdMeister - Sorry, I see it now. Did not realize that the newer posts were at the bottom instead of the top.

Did not understand what you meant at first, but after stretching the FireFox windows across two screens, now realize that because of the monitor resolution, the close button does not show when being displayed on one monitor. My boss is almost 90 and needs the higher resolution. IS there any way around this issue?

Thanks!

Note that you can close the Print Preview window with the Escape key and the Alt+C keyboard shortcut.
