Are the directories set up the same on every Windows machine when Firefox is installed?

I currently need the directory where my cert8.db file is located. This is currently

C:\Users\User1\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default

and I was wondering if this will be consistent through out all windows machines running the latest version of FIrefox?

I need software that will be able to easily find the .default folder on different machines and it would be helpful if there was a large range of consistency between directories and their layers and names between different Windows machines.

My understanding is this information would need to go into %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Mozilla Firefox\browser\defaults\profile in order to take effect.

Someone will check on this. I do not have that file so last remembered......G'luck

Hi Frank.

Yes, the path will be +/- the same, except the users name and the profile name. Also the profile folder does not have necessary contain the "default" suffix, if the user have created a new profile. More can be found here.

Do you know if there is anyway for you to add a certificate to all Firefox instances for all users at once? Maybe a mass database that they can all pull from?
