The bar (task line?) at the top of return emails has disappeared. When I hit reply to an email, the new email comes up but I can't send after typing because there is no command bar as there had always been? It was a bar, tab, line (not sure what to call it) that had a button for send, spelling, attachment and I believe one other item.

Chosen solution

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.

If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, please Tag this thread as being for Thunderbird in the right-hand column of this page. This question currently is in the Firefox queue for answers.
